Oxford City Council's leader said "tackling inequality and the high cost of living" will remain one of the council's priorities as she announced new cabinet appointments.
Councillor Susan Brown has announced the cabinet appointments for 2024/25.
The new members and their responsibilities were made public at the Annual Council meeting on May 16.
Ms Brown, as leader and cabinet member for partnership working, will be focusing on council strategy and policy delivery, democratic services and member support, and overseeing various strategic partnerships and leadership roles.
The cabinet also includes deputy leaders councillors Ed Turner and Anna Railton.
Mr Turner, as the cabinet member for finance and asset management, will handle financial strategy and support for residents and businesses.
Ms Railton's role as cabinet member for zero carbon Oxford includes responsibilities such as air quality, carbon reduction, renewable energy, and the delivery of zero carbon Oxford City Council by 2030.
Both deputy leaders will also stand in for Ms Brown when required.
Councillor Lubna Arshad takes on the role of cabinet member for a safer Oxford, with duties pertaining to community safety, safeguarding adults and children, and working alongside Thames Valley Police to tackle various types of crime.
Responsibilities related to service delivery and street management, among others, are entrusted to councillor Nigel Chapman as cabinet member for citizen focused services and council companies.
Business, culture and economy-related issues will be the responsibility of councillor Alex Hollingsworth, named cabinet member for business, culture and an inclusive economy.
Addressing health inequalities, promoting public health, and overseeing policies related to children and young people will be councillor Chewe Munkonge, the new cabinet member for a healthy Oxford.
Linda Smith has been appointed as the cabinet member for housing and communities.
Her tasks will include affordable housing delivery, community centre management, and addressing homelessness.
Councillor Louise Upton has become cabinet member for planning, responsible for issues pertaining to spatial planning, transport liaison, and local plan implementation including biodiversity.
Ms Brown said: "The cabinet will maintain a strong focus on our key priorities: tackling inequality and the high cost of living in Oxford, delivering more affordable homes, making Oxford a great place to live and preparing our city for climate change.
"In order to achieve this we will continue to focus on stable and prudent council finances and providing good quality services.
“As a cabinet we are committed to continuing to work with Oxford’s diverse communities and businesses to support their needs.
"We all want Oxford to remain a great place to live, work and do business and for everyone to feel proud of their neighbourhood."
