A dramatic game at Cove saw Shipton-under-Wychwood secure an unlikely 11-run win in Cherwell League Division 2, despite being bowled out for just 97.

Anupam Sanklecha (4-22) and Shaun Miller (3-10) then starred as the visitors produced a first-class bowling display.

Shipton struggled with the bat, losing wickets at regular intervals.

Tim Senior top-scored with 31, with only two other players making double figures as Shipton were dismissed for 97 in 40.5 overs.

However, Sanklecha then struck with his second ball, bowling Luke Voyce.

Brain trapped Trent Keep leg before and then Sanklecha bowled Ali Anthony as Cove fell to 2-3.

Shipton kept the hosts on the back foot, and sealed a superb win when Alex Barras bowled Jake Roylance.

Sanklecha was the chief destroyer, but the miserly spell from veteran left-arm spinner Shaun Miller and 1-18 off ten from Brain proved equally as vital.
