Mary Philomena McKeever 10.6.1934 - 23.8.2013 We finally understand, how you could shed a tear At the mention of your mother, whom you loved so dear. We thought that fifty years was time enough to let it go, But as we mark a year for you, we know that isn’t so. Our worlds are left in tatters, Future plans no longer matter. Every day that we’re without you is a blessing and a curse, One closer to being with you and one that really hurts. We know that you’re in Heaven, your wings earned one feather at a time With your countless acts of charity toward all humankind. Life brought you trials and suffering, this we can’t deny But you handled it with prayer and faith that somehow you’d get by. The good Lord must be proud of you for you never questioned why You’d be cursed with cancer and ultimately would die. There is no cure for a broken heart, but that’s ok, you see For as long as we feel something, your memory will always be. Your Grieving Family
