AFTER more heavy rain yesterday, the Environment Agency issued warnings about flooding of four rivers in the county.
Downpour: Becket Street, Oxford, yesterday
In north west Oxfordshire, the River Evenlode was put on Floodwatch - the agency's lowest warning in its three-tier alert system.
Also raised to Floodwatch was the River Leach, which passes close to Little Faringdon and joins the River Thames near Kelmscot, in the west of the county.
The River Thames from St John's Lock at Lechlade to Eynsham Lock remains on Floodwatch.
A similar alert has also been issued on the River Windrush.
A Floodwatch alert is issued when the flooding of low-lying land and roads can be expected.
The Environment Agency puts out the warning to families and motorists in the area to "be aware, be prepared and watch out".
There are currently no rivers in the county on the two higher alerts - flood warning and severe flood warning.
The area surrounding the River Cherwell north of Oxford remained on 'all clear' last night.
