  Sir, Just to put the records straight, St Mary's Mead is not a 'care village', as described in the leading article (Witney Gazette, November 29), and quoted by the town mayor in comparison to the proposed 'care village' on land at Coral Springs. read more

• Road closure

  Sir, I note with interest that David Cameron was awarded the courtesy of a road closure for the event to switch on Witney's Christmas lights. read more
