Sir, I would like to thank the people of Witney who supported the Windrush Health Centre in its bid to be allocated space in the proposed Marriott's Close development. Many people who have visited the exhibition about the new plans for Marriotts Close have asked why there is no mention of a health centre. read more

Sir, It was refreshing to read in last week's Gazette that at least one local councillor has realised that the proposal to site a public house on the Shilton Park development, adjacent to a children's nursery, an infants' school and close to the children's play area is inappropriate. read more

Sir, Having visited Messrs Simons' exhibition for the new Marriotts Close development, I learned: 1: That the facilities for buses and taxis will come later "the taxis are just round the corner," said a spokesman. read more

Sir, Simons Developments are to be congratulated on the quality of their graphic artists, who succeeded in making their Marriotts Close plans appear superficially attractive. However, close analysis of the Simons scheme soon reveals a number of fundamental shortcomings. read more
