Snow latest: Bus services hit

BUS services across the county were badly affected by the weather with some services suspended and others delayed.

Phil Ashworth, spokesman for The Oxford Bus Company, said: "We are managing to run all services in Oxford.

"The 4A route cannot get to the Elms Rise estate because of the snow, but we are in contact with the local authorities and hope to be able to get up to that area soon.

"All buses to London and the airports are running, but are slightly delayed.

"I would just like to pay tribute to our drivers, all of whom made it in to work this morning, despite the weather conditions."

The following Stagecoach bus services were affected by the snow today, including:

Banbury - no services

The following services are suspended:

U1 Brookes Bus: Harcourt Hill - Rail station - Oxford City - Cowley Road - Crescent Halt - Headington Campus - JR Hospital .

18: Oxford - Eynsham - Stanton Harcourt - Standlake - Bampton/Witney suspended

19: Witney - Ducklington - Bampton - Clanfield - Alvescot

20: Oxford (rail station) - Yarnton - Woodstock - Combe and Chalbury - Enstone and Chipping Norton

233 (X3): Witney - Deer Park - Minster Lovell - Burford - Shipton - Milton-under-Wychwood

11: Oxford City Centre - Eynsham - Long Hanborough - Freeland - Leigh - Witney
