SNOW returned to Oxfordshire today as the cold spell continued in the county.
Met Office forecasters said maximum temperatures during the day would be 6C, and snow and ice made conditions on pavements slippery underfoot.
Dozens of schools remained closed, but many pupils at the 220 schools which closed yesterday returned to classes.
This evening there will be rain, sleet and snow according to forecasters, which could be followed by heavy rain overnight.
Tomorrow morning, sunny spells are expected, before further patchy rain arrives in the afternoon.
Saturday will be a milder day but windy at times. The maximum temperature will be 9C.
