Contest calls for writers

BUDDING teenage science journalists from Oxfordshire are being invited to take part in a Cancer Research UK writing contest.

Students aged 14 to 16 are invited to write a 300-word news story about a recent medical or health-related advance.

The winner will receive a year's subscription to science magazine BC focus and spend a day in the Cancer Research UK press office.

Entries should be submitted via the website www.scinews.org.uk before Friday, April 30.
