Resolve to learn more

ABINGDON and Witney College is urging people to widen their horizons by learning something new.

More than 100 part-time courses are starting in 2008, from art to animal care and IT to engineering.

To those who sign up by January 21 they are also offering the chance to win a new Apple iPod Nano through a prize draw.

Steve Billcliffe, college director of development, says: "We all make New Year resolutions. Why not resolve to make the most of yourself and focus on something that is achievable, such as acquiring a new skill, learning a new language, or taking up a new hobby."
