Sir – Once again the sewage pumping station in Brize Norton has required a number of emergency tankers to clean up and contain an overflow.
This branch of the foul water network is acknowledged to be at capacity and has a history of overflows with potential risks to both the local environment and the health of residents.
With insufficient capacity for further expansion, any significant housing development to the east of Carterton will almost certainly need a new pipeline to the treatment centre on the outskirts of Ducklington.
Will the commercial reality of laying this potential pipeline be the final straw that allows common sense to prevail, saving Brize Norton as a village community?
