Sir – I am glad Judit Brody (last week’s Gazette Letters) finds the S7 bus useful.

However, since its arrival in July, those of us who live in Minster Lovell have really been suffering, after our S2 was taken away from us.

We now have no direct bus to Oxford, have to walk over a mile to a bus stop that has been deemed “unsafe” to catch the S2, and weekends are a no-no, as we have no bus.

People are having to give up jobs that they can now no longer get to without a car, students are late getting to college and being penalised for it, and trying to catch the last No 233 bus from Witney, if you have a a mid-afternoon appointment at the Churchill Hospital or Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Oxford, is a nail-biting nightmare if the S2 is caught in traffic – the S7 does not go to Gloucester Green, so access can be difficult on a time limit, or limited mobility, to Gipsy Lane.

The people of Tower Hill in Witney are also suffering.

The S7 runs from 10am until 4pm (really useful) and does not in any way help us. Stagecoach do not seem to care.

So Minster Lovell residents share very little of Judit’s enthusiasm for the S7.

Stagecoach flatly refuse to reinstate our S2.

Well take note Stagecoach, we are not beaten yet.
