People join forces to make their town tidy

Sir - I would be grateful if you would convey my thanks to all those volunteers who gave their time to help with the community clean-up in Carterton on Saturday, June 14.

It was great to see people from youth organisations, schools, churches, town and youth councils, PCSOs, and staff from WODC, which supplied the necessary protective equipment.

I am certain that due to the success of this operation and the aspiration of many of the volunteers present to repeat the experience, we will no doubt be organising another similar initiative in the future.
