Sir – I write regarding the front page story in the Witney Gazette, April 18.
If the decision on the Cogges Link Road public enquiry was not expected from the Secretary of State for Transport until May, why did Oxfordshire County Council start work in April?
Has it, perhaps, received some advance information about the result of the inquiry?
Surely, the result of a public inquiry should be made public before any work is begun?
