A truly Olympic effort

Sir – We would like to thank all the noble souls and dogs who competed in our Doglympics at the Save the Children Mayday fair, on Bank Holiday Monday.
Eighty dogs joined the events in absolutely foul weather. All were good sports and there was a great atmosphere of competition. The medal ceremony was accompanied by thunder, lightning and hailstones.
We also want to thank all our stalwart helpers (who are probably still trying to get dry), and the Save the Children committee for hosting our event and lending us the great Don Rouse as Olympic commentator.
Thanks to all involved we made nearly £300 for our charity Medical Detection Dogs.
