The Old Manor is an impressive 15th Century, Grade II* Listed manor house that was described by Nikolaus Pevsner in his book The Buildings of England. There are a number of unique and interesting architectural features, as well as some fascinating history. The layout of the house offers a great deal of flexibility as a family home, and also to those looking for secondary accommodation for independent relatives, staff or to generate letting income. There are various possible configurations of the space where a home office, hobby room and/or teenagers wing is required. We understand planning permission has been granted to, if desired, incorporate the cottage into the main house and to convert the large outbuilding into a 3-bay garage block.

Poffley End is a hamlet located in the Windrush Valley, just to the east of the attractive village of Hailey on the fringe of the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Within Hailey is a public house, with the market town of Witney just two miles to the south, with its various supermarkets including a Waitrose and further extensive facilities. The village is well placed in the county, with easy access to Charlbury and Long Hanborough with their mainline rail connections to Oxford, London, Birmingham and Hereford. Within half an hour one can also reach the M40 motorway and the city of Oxford. Local schooling in the area is excellent, with a primary school in Hailey, Windrush Valley Pre- Preparatory School in Ascottunder-Wychwood, Cokethorpe in Witney, Kingham School in Kingham and Burford School at Burford. Within 12 miles is St Hughes school at Faringdon and within Oxford are numerous highly regarded schools including the Dragon School.
