THE annual Wychwood Forest Fair promises a fun family day out on Sunday.
Traditional attractions will include morris dancers, Aunt Sally, ferret racing, a coconut shy, model boat driving, Hatwells funfair and Southdown farm animals, as well as demonstrations of rural crafts, from dry stone walling to hedge laying and from beekeeping to basket-making.
In addition, community and conservation groups will be encouraging people to support environment projects.
The fair takes place from 11am to 5pm at the Wychwood Project’s Foxburrow Wood, off Crawley Road on the edge of Witney. Entry is £6, with under-12s admitted free.
All the profits from the event will go towards the project’s work to conserve the former Wychwood Royal hunting forest area.
