WOODSTOCK will be filled with verse over the next few days thanks to the town’s annual poetry festival.
The event is opened tomorrow by Oxfordshire poet Pam Ayres, pictured, who will read from her new collection, You Made Me Late Again!, at St Mary Magdalene Church at 5.30pm.
All other events will take place at the Methodist Church, in Oxford Street, except for a Poetry Platform event for local poets, which will close the festival on Sunday evening.
This will take place at the Woodstock Arms, in Market Street, at 8.30pm.
For full details of the poetry festival programme and to book tickets, see woodstockbookshop.co.uk, call 01993 812760 or visit the bookshop in Oxford Street.
