AWARD-WINNING soprano Lucy Roberts and pianist James Sherlock take L’Amour et La Folie – love and madness – as the theme of a recital for Witney Music Society on Friday.
They will perform a selection of songs by composers ranging from Handel to Benjamin Britten in the concert at Wood Green School, in Woodstock Road.
Lucy Roberts trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and read music at Cambridge University.
She has performed at prestigious venues including the Purcell Room in London and Lincoln Catthedral.
James Sherlock, who also studied at the Guildhall School and Cambridge University, performs as an accompanist, chamber musician, soloist and conductor and has performed and recorded with the London Symphony Orchestra.
He was a gold medallist at the Marcello Galanti International Organ Competition in Italy in 2005.
The recital starts at 7.30pm.
