GUITAR great Gordon Giltrap takes the stage at The Theatre in Chipping Norton on Sunday for a performance showcasing skills developed over almost five decades in the music industry.

One of the most innovative guitarists in the UK today, Gordon has developed his own unique style, much copied, but never bettered.

Starting out in the 1960s as a folk singer-songwriter, his work since has encompassed progressive rock, pop, and work with the likes of Brian May, Rick Wakeman, Midge Ure and the London Symphony Orchestra, as well as playing guitar alongside his boyhood hero Cliff Richard in Cliff’s West End musical Heathcliff.

His solo show features compositions that cross musical genres and evade categorisation, reflecting influences from folk, rock and classical guitar.

Tickets for the concert, which starts at 7.45pm, are priced £15 and £13 for concessions.
