HARPIST Elen Hydref will perform at the penultimate concert in Witney Music Society’s winter programme on Friday.
Pieces by Bach and Benjamin Britten will feature in the concert.
Miss Hydref grew up in Porthmadog, in North Wales, and learned to play the harp, piano and flute. She was a member of the National Youth Orchestra of Wales and the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain.
She went on to study at the Purcell School of Music and the Royal Academy of Music, graduating with a first class honours degree in 2011, followed by an MA with distinction and a DipRAM in 2012 which was partly funded by the Countess of Munster Musical Trust, which is supporting her Witney appearance.
The concert at Wood Green School, in Woodstock Road, starts at 7.30pm.
Tickets priced £11, £10 for concessions and £1 for under-19s are available on the door or in advance from Music Stand, in High Street, or Greenway Antiques in Corn Street, and free parking is available at the school.
