A HOME-GROWN production takes centre stage at The Theatre in Chipping Norton this week.
In Alarms and Excursions, a series of short plays, writer Michael Frayn analyses our reliance on modern technology.
The theatre’s artistic director, John Terry, said: “We’ve been starting to produce more work here at Chipping Norton over the past couple of years.
“We’re picking our own titles and productions that we think will suit our audiences.
“One of the things people are looking for at the moment is a good laugh, so we wanted to do something that’s real out-and-out comedy.
“Being a Michael Frayn production, it’s very philosophical and witty but it’s also out-and-out funny.”
The cast of four, Charlie Buckland, Kate Copeland, Eliot Giuralarocca and Kali Peacocke, form different combinations for each of the sketches.
The production runs until next Wednesday.
Tickets cost £14 for adults, £12 for concessions and student admission is £8.50. To book, call the box office on 01608 642350.
