Riverside cast: Wind in the Willows
THE timeless classic Wind in the Willows will be performed by an enthusiastic cast in Stonesfield, this week.
Toad, Mole, Badger and Ratty will be brought to life by the Stonesfield Players for the production at the village hall.
Thirty-one actors of all ages, and Stonesfield rock band The Village Idiots, are set to have audiences laughing and dancing.
The production will feature BAFTA award-winning composer Nicholas Hooper, who has written for the Harry Potter Films, Birdsong and Prime Suspect, taking on the role of Mr Badger.
Sets have been designed by 2012 Olivier-nominated Michael Taylor and lighting has been produced by BAFTA and Cannes award-winning film director Chris Bartle.
The production will be performed from Thursday to Saturday, with curtain up at 7.30pm, and a matinee at 2pm on Saturday. Tickets are £8 for adults, £5 for concessions and £3 for under-fives, from Jenny Lines on 01993 898454 or Amlu’s Village Store, Stonesfield. Picture OX52014: Ric Mellis
