Personal Overview - Experienced returnee to the House of Commons for the redrawn seat he used to represent during the Conservative Governments of Thatcher and Major. He tends to the right within the Conservative Party, having been John Redwood's PPS for the mid 1990s. His political interests centre around the economy, education, employment and transport. During his previous Commons tenure he served as Vice Chairman of the Commons All Party Motor Club. On his reentry into the Commons, his experience was harnessed by the party by becoming a Whip, latterly becoming a Shadow Minister. However, he was not able to immediately translate this into a Government role. By the 2012 reshuffle he had become a Government Whip.

Personal Overview - Elected to the European Parliament from third place on the London Conservative Party list. Has been involved running a small business for over 23 years with experience negotiating in in Europe on behalf of her UK clients. She has campaigned to reduce regulation on business, reducing EU waste and fraud and on the sensible managing of migration. She also has experience raising funds for charity, as a former Chair of the Mayor of Barnet's Charity Appeal 2005/06 raising money for the mental health charity MIND.
