Help conquer breast cancer
Janet Moran

A MOTHER whose baby was delivered early because she needed treatment for breast cancer has urged people to take part in a fundraising walk in Woodstock.

Janet Moran, of Witney, was diagnosed with breast cancer three years ago when she was 37.

She was pregnant at the time and had to have her baby induced before her due date so that she could receive the chemotherapy she needed.

Now she is urging people to take part in the Breast Cancer Care Ribbon Walk, for ten or 20 miles, at Blenheim Palace, on Saturday, May 31.

Mrs Moran appeared at the official launch of the walk, at the University Museum of Natural History in Parks Road, Oxford.

She said: "My baby boy was induced so that I could start a course of chemotherapy followed by radiotherapy, so it was quite traumatic.

"Since then I've been well and have had the usual check-ups. My son Sean is now three and full of mischief.

"We are hoping to raise as much as we can to support Breast Cancer Care."

Walkers are given a fundraising target of £250. Call 0870 145 0101 or visit www.ribbonwalk.org.uk
