Stonesfield crashed out of the Telegraph Cup at the first hurdle as they were thrashed by eight wickets at Broughton & North Newington.

The 2006 finalists posted a useful total of 208-9, Chris Days top-scoring with 68.

But Broughton cruised home, with Jason Tilcock hitting 84 and Andy Cross 66 not out.

In the Airey Cup, Minster Lovell booked their place in round two with a 27-run win at Kings Sutton.

Billy Carter (50) and Mick Hanson (34) helped Minster to 150 all out, before Matt Green took 4-26 as the home side were rolled over for 123.

Freeland 2nd reached the second round of the Osberton Radiators Cup with a 22-run victory over Stonesfield 2nd.
