TV antiques expert David Dickinson is coming to the city in search of some "bobby dazzlers".
He will be recording a programme for his ITV series, Dickinson's Real Deal, on Saturday, September 6.
He and his dealers will be at Oxford Town Hall, in St Aldate's, from 9am to 5pm and the public are invited to take along their belongings for a valuation and perhaps the chance to make some cash.
Mr Dickinson, whose catchphrases include "cheap as chips", "a bit of a duffer" and "a real bobby dazzler", said: "I'm really excited about coming to Oxford. It's a fascinating place with great history and we're hoping this will mean lots of hidden gems turning up."
In Real Deal, Mr Dickinson advises sellers on whether to take the dealers' cash or gamble on making more money in an auction.
People can just turn up on the day with their belongings, or can register in advance for the priority queue by calling 0117 970 7617. Admission is free.
