New railway timetables come into effect tomorrow.
Chiltern Railways is making major adjustments to its timetables as a result of a full year’s experience with its faster mainline services to try to ensure trains can cope with rush-hour passengers at stations across its network.
The company is urging regular passengers to check their journey times, due to the scope of the alterations.
There are few big changes on CrossCountry and First Great Western services, although there will be adjustments to late-night FGW services between Oxford, Didcot Parkway, Reading and London to allow for the overnight track closure for upgarding work.
For more details, see the operators’ websites, call 08457 484950, or pick up timetables at staffed stations.
