BUCKINGHAMSHIRE'S fire control room services will be welcomed with open arms into a Thames Valley merger after a councillor gave her blessing.
Cabinet member for safer stronger communities Judy Heathcoat yesterday approved plans to invite the county into a control room merger deal with the Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service.
The project now includes Oxfordshire, Royal Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes.
