THE family of a Charlbury man who died after an accident involving a car before Christmas have said they are “absolutely devastated”.

Luke Nappin, 34, was killed in a collision in The Slade, Charlbury, on Saturday, December 22.

In a statement his family said: “The family of Luke Nappin are all absolutely devastated by his tragic death on the road and will never get over the loss. He just loved Charlbury and its people, and there would be nowhere else he would like to be.”

Mr Nappin of The Green, went to Charlbury Primary School and Chipping Norton School. He was a member of the town judo club, Cubs and Scouts, the youth club, and played for the town’s boys football club.

Mr Nappin leaves behind parents Lynn and Dave, sister Leah and her partner Justin, sister Hollie and her husband Kevin, and his nephews Tayler, seven, and Jayden, four.

His family added: “Luke was a very sociable person who had so many friends and always liked to stop and chat to people. He had a heart of gold and loved to make people laugh.”
