BLACK and white television licences are still held by 30 city residents, it has been revealed.
The £49 licences are still held 46 years after the dawn of colour broadcasting, TV Licensing revealed.
Black and white licences have fallen from 212,000 in 2000 to 13,202 now. There are 25 million colour licences.
A colour licence is £145.50.
Broadcasting historian John Trenouth said: “For low-income households the black and white licence fee is an attractive alternative to the full colour fee.”
