Three fire crews were needed to put out a small blaze in West Oxfordshire this morning.
The fire broke out in a period cottage near Bampton High Street, Bampton.
Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue said the unique positioning of a beam which caught fire required an extra team to help out.
A spokesman said: "We have sent extra staff and the rescue unit. Due to the nature of the cottage and location it made it look worse than it was."
