OXFORD

  • Andrew Robinson, 48, of Iffley Road, Oxford, admitted being drunk and disorderly in Cowley Road, Oxford, on January 13. Fined £50 and a £20 victims’ surcharge.
  • Christopher Chapman, 30, of Compton Drive, Abingdon, admitted drink-driving in Oxford Road, Abingdon, on January 14. Had 88 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 micrograms. Also admitted driving while disqualified and without insurance. Given an eight-week prison sentence suspended for 12 months. Told to do 80 hours of unpaid community work in the next 12 months and told to pay an £80 victims’ surcharge. Banned from driving for three years.
  • Lee Wallis, 37, of Station Road, Chinnor, admitted being drunk and disorderly in High Street, Thame, on August 10. Given a nine-month conditional discharge.
  • Clifford Edmonds, 40, of Brome Place, Headington, Oxford, admitted possession of crack cocaine, cannabis, and Diazepam tablets in Sturges Close, Headington, Oxford, on November 6. Also admitted stealing a gold ring worth £300 at Underhill Circus, Barton, Oxford, on January 11. Sent to prison for 12 weeks.
  • Joe Fisher, 24, of Coopers Place, Wallingford, admitted assault by beating in Park Road, Didcot, on May 28. Sent to prison for 14 weeks and banned from The Royal Oak pub in Park Road, Didcot, for two years.
  • Desmon Jones, 29, of no fixed address, admitted possession of cannabis with intent to supply on September 28. Given a 12-week prison sentence suspended for 12 months. Told to pay an £80 victims’ surcharge.
  • Adam Greenough, 25, of Sherwood Road, Didcot, admitted drink-driving in Lower Broadway, Didcot, on January 1. Had 68 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 micrograms. Community order made and told to do 50 hours of unpaid community work. Also told to pay a £60 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Given 18-month driving ban.
  • Herish Khoshnaw, 27, of Dashwood Road, Rose Hill, Oxford, admitted drink-driving in Parks Road, Oxford, on January 1. Had 69 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 micrograms. Also admitted driving without insurance. Fined £160, a £20 victims’ surcharge, and £85 costs.
  • Elesa McDonagh, 24, of Warburg Crescent, Oxford, admitted using threatening words or behaviour to cause harassment, alarm, or distress in Cowley Road, Oxford, on January 1. Also admitted assaulting a special constable in the execution of his duty in Cowley Road, Oxford, on January 1. Given an 18-month conditional discharge, told to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge, £50 compensation, and £40 costs.

BANBURY

  • Lee Bennett, 33, of Harrowby Road, Banbury, admitted shoplifting a dog lead, collar, harness, and toy, from Croft Pet Foods in Broad Street, Banbury, on October 9. Given an 18-month conditional discharge, told to pay £30 compensation, a £15 victims’ surcharge, and £50 costs.
  • Christopher Jeffery, 20, of Hannis Road, Chipping Norton, admitted possession of cannabis in Chipping Norton on December 8. Given a nine-month conditional discharge, told to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  • Martin Potter, 29, of Lambs Crescent, Banbury, admitted assault by beating in High Street, Banbury, on June 16. Sent to prison for 28 days.
  • Alan Burtonwood, 47, of Prospect Road, Banbury, admitted making 117 indecent images of children between July 23, 2006, and October 22, 2011 at Middle Barton. Also admitted making 112 indecent images of children on October 23, 2011 at Middle Barton. Community order made with a supervision requirement. Told to pay £85 costs. Sexual offence prevention order also made.
  • Luke Cuthbert, 22, of Lancaster Place, Carterton, admitted being drunk and disorderly in Corn Street, Witney, on December 8. Fined £75, a £20 victims’ surcharge, and £85 costs.
  • Alex Higgs, 20, of Osborne Close, Kidlington, admitted assault by beating in Osborne Close, Kidlington, on August 28. Community order made with prohibited activity and supervision requirements. Also told to do 150 hours of unpaid community work in the next 12 months. Told to pay £250 compensation and £85 costs.
  • Karen Highton, 46, of Delapre Drive, Banbury, admitted shoplifting toiletries and a dog chew worth £7.68 from Wilkinson in Banbury on December 11. Fined £73 and a £20 victims’ surcharge.
  • Elaine Freeman, 45, of Evans Lane, Kidlington, admitted drink-driving in High Street, Kidlington, on December 12. Had 44 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 micrograms. Fined £245, a £25 victims’ surcharge, and £85 costs. Given 12-month driving ban.
  • David Jacobs, 53, of Oak Drive, Kidlington, admitted drink-driving in Brasenose Drive, Kidlington, on December 13. Had 52 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 micrograms. Fined £175, an £18 victims’ surcharge, and £85 costs. 12-month driving ban.
  • Leigh Lester, 39, of Causeway, Banbury, admitted shoplifting four aftershave bottles worth £144.80 from Debenhams in Banbury on December 12. Fined £150, a £15 victims’ surcharge, and £85 costs.
  • Ben Thompson, 25, of Rye Close, Banbury, admitted assault by beating in High Street, Banbury, on December 14. Sent to prison for 28 days.
  • Steven Allery, 19, of Hill View, Carterton, admitted being drunk and disorderly in Corn Street, Witney, on December 14. Fined £40, a £20 victims’ surcharge, and £20 costs.
  • Jack Healy, 22, of Abbey Road, Witney, admitted failing to provide a breath specimen at Abingdon Police Station on November 27. Fined £200 and told to pay a victim surcharge of £20 and £85 costs. Disqualified from driving for 12 months.
  • Kaylie McKenzie, 23, of Bridge Street, Witney, admitted driving 51mph in a 30mph zone in Witney Road, Standlake on April 2. Fined £200 and told to pay a £15 victim surcharge and £65 costs. Licence endorsed with six points.
  • Edward Wassell, 33, of Wadards Meadow, Witney, admitted beating Bethesda Sidauruk in Witney on November 4. Told to take part in an alcohol dependancy programme for six months and a domestic violence programme for 36 days and pay a victim surcharge of £60 and £85 costs.
  • Editor’s note: A later  order of the court revoked the sentence and substituted a £500 fine.
