MEMBERS of the Heythrop Hunt will be denied access to National Trust land in the wake of its conviction for illegally hunting foxes.
The trust said it has not renewed the hunt’s licence to hunt at Chastleton, near Chipping Norton, and Sherborne Park, near Burford.
The decision comes after the hunt and its former huntsman Julian Barnfield, 49, of Chipping Norton, and former master Richard Sumner, 68, of Salperton, in Gloucestershire, admitted a total of 12 charges of unlawful hunting with dogs at a hearing at Oxford Magistrates’ Court last December.
