SNOW has returned to Oxfordshire this morning causing travel problems across the county.

The northbound A34 at the Peartree Interchanged reopened at 8am.

It was closed after two lorries were involved in an accident at 2.30am.

The A4260 Oxford Road in Kidlington was closed in both directions due to a jackknifed lorry on the Sainsbury’s roundabout at Frieze Way and Bicester Road.

The road was closed at around 4.30am and recovery workers are on their way.

With the snow coinciding with the half term break, Oxfordshire County Council has reported no school closures so far this morning.

There are some problems on the trains though.

A line problem at Worcester Shrub Hill is affecting trains between Oxford and London.

Train services running through the station may be cancelled or delayed at short notice.

An estimate for the resumption of normal services will be provided as soon as the problem has been fully assessed.

The 7am Oxford to London Paddington train was cancelled.

The 8:58am Oxford to Moreton-In-Marsh train will be cancelled.

The 10.01am service from Oxford to London Paddington service will be cancelled.

The Moreton-In-Marsh to London Paddington service due in Oxford at 10.31am will be cancelled.
