Miranda Leate admires one of the works by her late aunt Hilda Kent
WORK by some of the key figures behind a Bampton art gallery has gone on display as part of the celebrations of its 40th anniversary.
The WOA Turns 40 exhibition at West Ox Arts runs until next Wednesday.
Photographs, paintings, watercolours, calligraphy and other artwork by six founding members are being shown.
They include a selection of work from former Bampton resident Hilda Kent, who died last year, aged 95.
Her niece, Miranda Leate, came to the launch event on Saturday from her home in Essex.
She said: “It was lovely to see. “It was nice that they remembered her and had included some of her work in the exhibition.”
Gallery curator Erin Singleton said the exhibition, which was being held to mark the organisation’s 40th anniversary, had been well received by visitors to the gallery.
