Couple’s joy at £250 win in weekly draw

BEAMING Veronica Simpson and husband Brian were presented with £250-worth of Sainsbury’s vouchers after winning the Oxford Mail Motability week prize draw.
The Rose Hill great-grandparents entered the competition when they visited Skurrays in Kidlington to order a new car on the motability scheme, which offers free or subsidised vehicles to disabled people.
The Oxford Mail’s Maureen Vale and Chris King and Skurrays sales manager Andy Semper and motability specialist Hannah Meiklejohn presented the prize to the couple on Monday.
Mrs Simpson, a former staff member at Sainsbury’s in Heyford Hill, said: “I was surprised.”
The retired 70-year-old said: “I’m not going to spend the vouchers on anything in particular at the moment. I haven’t had time to think about it yet.”
