Teacher cleared of sexual assault charges

A TEACHER has been cleared of a string of sexual assaults on a teenager.

Geoffrey Langer, of Farley Lane, Stonesfield, walked free from Oxford Crown Court today after he was acquitted of all charges.

The 64-year-old denied committing the offences in the early 1980s, against a man now in his 40s, during a week-long trial.

A jury took six hours and 44 minutes to clear him of three counts of indecent assault of a male under the age of 16 and a serious sexual offence with a person under the age of 16.
