JAMES KEEP, 21, of Duffield Close, Abingdon, admitted driving while unfit through drugs in Bridge Street, Abingdon, on May 11. Fined £220, a £22 victims’ surcharge, and £85 costs. Banned from driving for 16 months.

ANDREW KIDBY, 20, of Meadow Brook, Abingdon, admitted theft by finding after stealing a purse containing bank cards, £120 cash and a driving licence, in Campion Road, Abingdon, on June 30. Fined £130, told to pay £135 compensation, a £20 victims’ surcharge, and £65 costs.

LUKE BERRY, 25, of Mill Road, Abingdon, admitted breaching an anti-social behaviour order by drinking alcohol at The Nags Head pub in Abingdon on March 10. Also admitted using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress in The Bridge, Abingdon, on March 10. Community order made with activity requirement. Also told to do 200 hours of unpaid community work in the next year. Told to pay £50 compensation, a £60 victims’ surcharge and pay £40 costs.

LEWIS COX, 27, of Willow Drive, Bicester, admitted driving without due care and attention in High Street, Oxford, on March 1. Fined £50 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge. Given six points on driving licence.

ALAN POWELL, 38, of Speedwell Street, Oxford, admitted using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause fear of or provoke unlawful violence in Boswells in Broad Street, Oxford, on June 21. Given an 18-month conditional discharge and told to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge and £40 costs.

BANBURY MAGISTRATES

ROCKY BURTON, 27, of Oxford Road, Old Chalford, near Chipping Norton, admitted shoplifting a teddy bear worth £150 from The Teddy Bear Shop in High Street, Witney, on May 19. Fined £10, a £20 victims’ surcharge, and £85 costs.

DANIEL TODD, 35, of Ruskin Road, Banbury, admitted drink-driving in Springfield Avenue, Banbury, on July 11. Had 110 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 micrograms. Disqualified from driving for two years and ordered to do 80 hours of unpaid community work. Also told to pay a £60 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

SIMON DUBBER, 54, of Thorney Leys, Witney, admitted failing to stop after a road accident in High Street, Witney, on April 3. Fined £90, a £20 victims’ surcharge, and £85 costs.

FENTON OSBOURNE, 45, of Samuelson Court, Banbury, admitted possession of cannabis in Marlborough Road, Banbury, on July 12. Fined £135, a £20 victims’ surcharge, and £85 costs.

SAMUEL STANLEY, 32, of Wroslyn Road, Freeland, admitted drink-driving on the A40 at Barnard’s Gate on July 11. Had 60 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 micrograms. Banned from driving for 17 months and fined £120, a £20 victims’ surcharge, and £85 costs.

CHER GOUGH, 41, of Frethern Close, Burford, admitted unlawfully and maliciously inflicting grievous bodily harm in Burford on April 20. Fined £400, a £40 victims’ surcharge, and £85 costs.

DARREN RUSSELL, 27, of St Marys Court, Witney, admitted shoplifting razor blades worth £25 from Boots in Witney on June 1. Also stole perfume worth £34 from the store on July 10. Stole meat worth £50 from Northfield Farm Lane in Witney on June 26, and again on June 27. Also stole £30 of meat from the farm on July 11 and stole meat from Marks and Spencer in Witney on June 8. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and told to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge.

JUSTIN STRATFORD, 42, of Marigold Square, Carterton, admitted drink-driving in Minster Lovell on May 7. Had 100 milligrams of alcohol in 100ml of blood, above the legal limit of 80 milligrams. Fined £110, a £20 victims’ surcharge, and £85 costs. Banned from driving for 12 months.

PAUL THOMPSON, 24, of Aldous Drive, Bloxham, admitted possessing cocaine in Banbury on March 2. Fined £200, a £20 victims’ surcharge, and £85 costs.

GARETH ELLARD, 41, of Winterbourne Close, Bicester, admitted driving whilst unfit through drugs in Peregrine Way, Bicester, on March 7. Fined £125, a £20 victims’ surcharge, and £100 costs. Banned from driving for 15 months.

IAN MELLOR, 33, of Ashby Court, Newland Road, Banbury, admitted shoplifting two perfume gift sets worth £84 from Boots in Lockheed Close, Banbury, on April 8. Also admitted stealing six perfume gift sets worth £142.50 from the same store on April 9. Given a 12-month conditional discharge, told to pay £129 compensation, a £15 victims’ surcharge, and £40 costs.

ANDREW FOX, 41, of Kemps Road, Twyford, Banbury, convicted of criminal damage to the value of £1,600 to the door and windscreen of a Ford Mondeo in Kemps Road, Twyford, on February 2. Community order made and told to do 150 hours of unpaid community work in the next 12 months. Restraining order also made. Told to pay £1,000 compensation, a £60 victims’ surcharge, and £375 costs.

CRAIG CRIPPS, 29, of Luther Street, Oxford, admitted shoplifting a set top box worth £19.50 from Tesco in Ambassador Avenue, Cowley, on July 6. Also admitted shoplifting meat worth £59.40 from Co-op in Rose Hill, Oxford, on July 5. Two other crimes taken into consideration and sent to prison for six weeks.

SAMMY GITAUA, 26, of Beauchamp Place, Oxford, admitted possession of four wraps of crack cocaine at Beauchamp Place, Oxford, on July 23. Sent to prison for two weeks.

MATTHEW PADLEY, 20, of Butts Close, Aynho, admitted drink-driving in Aynho Road, Adderbury, on June 2. Had 99 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of blood, above the legal limit of 80 micrograms. Banned from driving for 12 months and fined £200, a £20 victims’ surcharge, and £85 costs.

BRIAN KELLY, 42, of Deacon Way, Banbury, convicted of sexual assault in Bridge Street, Banbury, on March 19. Community order made with a supervision requirement. Told to pay £300 compensation and a £60 victims’ surcharge.

JACQUELINE HOOPER, 45, of Ampney Orchard, Bampton, admitted assault by beating in Hardingham Close, Carterton, on January 30. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and told to pay £100 compensation, a £15 victims’ surcharge, and £150 costs.

NAQASH HUSSAIN, 23, of Prescott Avenue, Banbury, convicted of wilfully obstructing a police officer in the execution of his duty in Banbury on April 4. Also admitted driving in Southam Road, Banbury, without a licence on April 4. Fined £240 and a £20 victims’ surcharge.
