District on target for a slight overspend
6:00pm Friday 30th August 2013 in News
Cherwell District Council says it is on course to end the financial year with a £89,000 overspend.
A council report says £38,649 out of £75,000 cash savings have been found so far in the current financial year.
The council – set to spend £13.6m this year – is waiting to get £729,000 back from failed Icelandic bank Glitnir.
It got back most of the £6.5m it invested in 2008 and said the remaining cash is accruing interest.
