TRAINS are running again after a safety scare with the railway line between Oxford and Charlbury but there are delays of up to an hour.
The line was closed this afternoon while safety checks were carried out on the track at Hanborough, with buses replacing stranded trains.
A First Great Western spokesman said engineers were investigating a "potential track defect" but refused to provide any further details for commuters.
However the line is now open again and trains are running, but there will still be delays of up to an hour and alterations into the evening as a speed restriction is in place.
Tickets being accepted on London Midland and Virgin Trains services.
