WEST Oxfordshire district councillors have rejected plans to build 60 houses off Churchill Road, south of Chipping Norton, close to Bliss Mill.
Members of the uplands planning sub-committee endorsed planning officers’ recommendation that they refuse consent for the scheme at their meeting on Monday.
The committee also decided to make a site visit before taking a decision on Aldi’s plan to build a supermarket off Banbury Road.
The German company wants to redevelop the site of a former highways depot at Cromwell Park, half-a-mile from the town centre.
