People convicted of offences recently at magistrates courts in Oxfordshire:

Matthew Graham, 36, of Luther Street, Oxford admitted shoplifting meat worth £19.92 from Sainsbury’s in Westgate, Oxford on October 1. Fined £50, a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

George Hunt, 21, of Peregrine Road, Oxford, admitted failing to comply with the requirements of a community order after failing to attend unpaid work at 9am at the layby on Five Mile Drive, Wolvercote on October 24. Community order made with a six-week curfew requirement.

Desmond Jones, 30, of no fixed address, admitted shoplifting food worth £50 from The Co-op in Rose Hill, Oxford on June 3. Sent to prison for six weeks and told to pay £25 compensation.

Jurijs Kozirevs, 49, of Martins Lane, Dorchester admitted drink-driving in Martins Lane, Dorchester on October 7. Had 116 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml, above the legal limit of 35 micrograms. Given a six-week prison sentence suspended for 12 months. Told to pay an £80 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for 28 months.

Samantha McDonagh, 23, of Spencer Crescent, Oxford admitted stealing baby clothing from Next in Milton Keynes on November 1. Also admitted shoplifting food from Tesco in Holm Square, Bicester on June 16. Community order made with an eight-week curfew requirement. Told to pay a £60 victims’ surcharge and £50 costs.

Brandon Day, 18, of Faulkner Street, Oxford admitted assault by beating in Paradise Court, Oxford on June 9. Youth rehabilitation order made with restorative justice requirement. Told to pay £200 compensation and a £15 victims’ surcharge.

Gemma Rees, 23, of Borrowmead Road, Headington, Oxford admitted criminal damage worth £100-£200 to a wing mirror in Oxford on May 23. Also admitted assaulting Sgt Mark Rowe in Oxford and being drunk and disorderly in Borrowmead Road, Headington, Oxford on May 23. Given an 18-month conditional discharge, fined £80, £75 total compensation, £100 costs, and a £20 victims’ surcharge.

Trevor Francis, 34, of Warburg Crescent, Blackbird Leys, Oxford, admitted stealing food from the BP Express Service Station on the A40 Wolvercote Roundabout, Oxford, on November 14, stealing childrens’ bedding from Mothercare in the Oxford Retail Park, Ambassador Avenue, Cowley, on November 19, and stealing a leap frog pad children’s tablet worth £54 from Asda Living in Templars Shopping Centre, Between Towns Road on November 25. Given a 16-week prison sentence.

Sabine Savage, 54, of Duns Tew, Bicester, admitted drink driving on Warwick Road, Banbury, on August 9. Had 71 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 micrograms. Given a 20-month driving ban and fined £110. Told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

Ronald Wood, 60, of Riverside Gardens, Witney, admitted assault by beating on September 25 in Riverside Gardens, Witney. Given a community order with an 80-hour unpaid work requirement and told to pay £100 compensation, a £60 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

Mohammed Basharat, 34, of West Street, Banbury, admitted possessing cannabis, a Class B drug, and heroin, a Class A drug, in Banbury Police Station, Warwick Road, Banbury, on November 13. Fined £225 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

Shane Finn, 23, of Nursery Drive, Banbury, admitted taking a motor vehicle without consent, driving without a licence and driving without insurance in Victoria Place, Banbury, on September 29. community order made with 80-hour unpaid work requirement and told to pay a £60 victims’ surcharge and £45 costs. Given six points on driving licence.

Leah Bennett, 25, Palmer Road, Faringdon, admitted stealing perfume worth £106 from Boots in Cornmarket Street, Oxford, on November 13. Given a nine-month conditional discharge and told to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge.

James Potter, 24, of Worcester Drive, Didcot, admitted assault by beating in Milton Park, Milton, Abingdon. Fined £100 and told to pay £100 compensation, £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

Joe Sutton, 26, of Allnatt Avenue, Wallingford, admitted possessing two wraps of ketamine, a Class C drug, in St Johns Road, Wallingford, on September 21. Fined £20 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge.

Dennis Wilkinson, 51, of The Glebe, Culham, near Abingdon, admitted producing cannabis, a Class B drug, and resisting a police constable in the execution of their duty in The Glebe, Culham, near Abingdon, on June 5. Community order made with six-month drug rehabilitation requirement and 12-month supervision requirement. Told to pay a £60 victims’ surcharge and £40 costs.

Tobias Chipman, 34, of Whitelands Way, Bicester, admitted drink driving on Howes Lane, Bicester, on August 31. Had 139 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of urine, over the legal limit of 107mg. Fined £1,310 and ordered to pay a £120 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for 12 months.

Lynn Chivers, 54, of Lancaster Close, Bicester, admitted drink driving on Skimmingdish Lane, Bicester, on October 13. Had 130 milligrams of alcohol on 100 millilitres of blood over the legal limit of 80mg. Fined £260 and ordered to pay a £26 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for 17 months.

Terrance Kerrigan, 49, of Speedwell Street, Oxford, admitted beating a man in a racially-aggravated assault in Banbury on November 28. Given a 16-week prison sentence suspended for 12 months. Told to pay £100 compensation.

Jonathan Thompson, 43, of Wychwood Close, Milton-under-Wychwood, near Chipping Norton, admitted being in charge of a car while over the prescribed alcohol limit in Milton-under-Wychwood on November 14. Had 59 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath over the legal limit of 35mg. Fined £100 and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Licence endorsed with 10 points.

Keith Christie, 48, of Marlborough Place, Banbury, admitted assaulting a man and a woman at a house in Broad Street, Banbury, by beating them and damaging crockery at the property on October 1. A restraining order imposed forbidding contact with the victims or entering the house. Fined £400 and ordered to pay a £40 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

Aaron Marriott, 28, of Poolside Close, Banbury, admitted drink driving in Lord Fielding Close, Banbury on June 8. Had 43 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath over the legal limit of 35mg. Fined £110, ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £20 costs and given a 12-month driving ban.

Richard Bennett, 39, of no fixed address, admitted using threatening words or behaviour in Kidlington on October 18. Fined £75 and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £20 costs.
