ATOMIC Kitten star Natasha Hamilton has visited Witney County Primary School to stress the importance of wearing a seatbelt.

Ms Hamilton and The Croods character Belt dropped in to teach children about road safety on Monday afternoon as part of a nationwide campaign. The school also hosted a themed assembly, and children were given the chance to board the Belt Up Bus to learn more about road safety.

Ms Hamilton, who most recently appeared on The Big Reunion, is a strong supporter of road safety, having been hit by a car and badly injured at the age of three. She said: “As a mother of three young children I’m thrilled to be supporting Belt Up Week and helping kids learn about the importance of wearing seat belts and being careful on the roads on the way to and from school.

“I was very lucky to get away with a bad leg injury and dislocated ankle. Ever since I’ve been very aware of the dangers on the roads and it’s an honour to help communicate these messages to children.”
