Personnel from RAF Brize Norton in Carterton have delivered a second batch of aid to the Central African Republic, which is in the grip of civil unrest.
The C-17 crew, supported by gunners from 63 Squadron, flew French trucks and supplies to Bangui on Wednesday.
RAF Police Flight Sergeant John Cookson said: “The crowds looked very peaceful, but from a security point of view it was a situation that could change easily.”
The 3,500-mile flight followed a similar delivery of armoured vehicles last week. Foreign Secretary William Hague said the UK would make three flights to the country.
The United Nations Security Council authorised action, led by African Union and French forces, to protect civilians and restore order.
