A STORE sold out of waders yesterday after council officials purchased them all.

The Go Outdoors store in Old Abingdon Road, South Oxford, sold all 12 sets of the waders it had in stock in one go.

Staff at the store said it had been doing a brisk trade in wellies and other waterproofs this week due to the large number of flooded roads and pathways.

Member of staff Ann Booker said: “We have been doing quite a lot of trade, especially on wellies and things like that.

“It has been good business.

This is news why? 12 pairs of waders have been sold. It's not like the council bought 200 pairs.

This is more a sign that even a shop that big cannot afford to have a lot of stock in store because of the shift to online purchasing.
