KEEN cooks were given a lesson in how to make their food go further in Carterton.
The free cookery class was run as part of Oxfordshire Waste Partnership’s Love Food, Hate Waste campaign to help cut the amount of food being thrown away in waste bins.
It was held at Carterton Community Centre, in Marigold Square, Shilton Park.
Professional chef Ilja Harvey, from Banbury’s Pudding Pie Cookery School, led the session.
She said: “We had a great day. People were really keen to learn how to save money by wasting less food.”
