  • Elizabeth Jakeman, 56, of Farm Close, Blackbird Leys, Oxford, admitted possession of Class B drug, amphetamine, in Templars Square Shopping Park, in Between Towns Road, Cowley, Oxford, on December 24. Given a six-month conditional discharge.
  • Tyson Mitchell, 28, of Giles Road, Oxford, admitted drink-driving in Garsington Road, Oxford, on January 10. Had 134 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 micrograms. Given a 12-week prison sentence suspended for 12 months. Told to pay an £80 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for 32 months.
  • Shane Murphy, 27, of Brookside, Abingdon, admitted assault by beating in Brookside, Abingdon, on December 13. Given a 20-week prison sentence suspended for 24 months. Also handed a supervision order and told to pay an £80 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  • Susan Westlake, 39, of Marlborough Road, Oxford, convicted of taking a Peugeot 205 without the owner’s consent in Greystoke Avenue, Bristol, on January 2. Fined £75 and told to pay £20 costs.

BANBURY MAGISTRATES

  • Dean Blake, 24, of Horsefair, Chipping Norton, admitted using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause unknown harassment, alarm or distress in High Street, Oxford, on February 16. Fined £100 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  • Mark Cronin, 33, of Blackburn Walk, Bicester, admitted being drunk and disorderly in Broad Street, Banbury, on February 15. Fined £135 and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  • Tracy Daly, 46, of Leach Road, Bicester, admitted being drunk and disorderly in Leach Road, Bicester, on February 15. Fined £35 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £45 costs.
  • James Busby, 37, of no fixed address, admitted driving while disqualified and without insurance on the A40 at Witney on February 27. Sent to prison for 12 weeks and banned from holding a driving licence for 54 months.
  • Alan Nulty, 29, of no fixed address, admitted harassing a woman without violence in Witney on February 27, thereby breaching a six-month conditional discharge given at Banbury Magistrates’ Court on February 24. Fined £110 and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge.
  • Jessica Tustain, 21, of Howard Road, Banbury, admitted stealing £10 worth of meat from Morrisons and £35 worth of rechargable batteries from Wilkinsons in Banbury on January 27, plus a £40 battery charger from Wilkinsons on February 9. Given a Community Order requiring six months of drug rehabilitation treatment and a nine-month supervision order. Ordered to pay £85 compensation and a £60 victims’ surcharge.
  • Declan Allen, 20, of Bretch Hill, Banbury, admitted assaulting a woman by beating her in Banbury on February 11. Fined £225 and ordered to pay a £23 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  • Andrew Batstone, 40, of Stocks Walk, Carterton, admitted driving without due care and attention on Alvescot Road, Carterton, on December 17. Fined £315 and ordered to pay a £32 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Licence endorsed with nine points.
  • Scott Chesterman, 24, of Lidsey Road, Banbury, admitted breaching a non-molestation order by sending text messages to a person prohibited by Durham County Court on April 30, on January 29 and February 2. Fined £335 and ordered to pay a £24 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  • Kirsty Walker, 24, of Starnham Road, Ducklington, admitted assaulting a police constable in the execution of his duty in South Market Square, Witney, on February 13. Fined £80 and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  • Ashley Kan, 18, of Brassey Close, Chipping Norton, admitted drink-driving in Bloxham, near Banbury, on February 9. Had 78 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, over the legal limit of 35mg. Fined £110 and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £40 costs. Banned from driving for 20 months.
  • Denise Webb, 45, of Balliol Road, Bicester, admitted possessing cannabis, a Class B drug, in Balliol Road, Bicester, on January 6. Fined £75 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £40 costs.
  • Lee Bromley, 37, of Thyme Close, Banbury, admitted being in charge of a dog which caused an injury in a private place in Thyme Close, Banbury, on November 27. Order made requiring the dog be kept securely fitted with a muzzle, under control by its owner and on a lead or it will be destroyed. Told to pay £100 compensation and £40 costs.
  • Simon Cox, 39, of Ashhurst Way, Oxford, admitted being drunk and disorderly in a public place in Ashhurst Way, Oxford on February 15, failing to surrender to Oxford Magistrates’ Court on March 3, and was convicted of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour in Watlington Road, Cowley, on January 21. Fined £60 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £20 costs.
  • Hayley Cox, 31, of Brome Place, Headington, Oxford, admitted stealing two handbags worth £458 from the Jack Wills store in High Street, Oxford, on January 25. Given a 24-month conditional discharge and told to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge.
  • Kayleigh Rowlands, 27, of Northfield Close, Littlemore, Oxford, admitted failing without a reasonable excuse to comply with the requirements of a community order made by Oxford Magistrates’ Court on October 20, 2012, by failing at attend a probation office on June 26. Community order made with eight-week curfew requirement.
  • Carrie Ann Maddaford, 33, of Venners Water, Didcot, admitted driving without due care and attention in Broadway, Didcot, on January 2. Fined £50 and given three points on driving licence. Also told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £50 costs.
  • Mohammed Yaqoob, 50, of Bowness Avenue, Headington, Oxford, admitted speeding on a 20mph road in St Giles, Oxford, on August 14. Fined £40 and given three points on driving licence. Told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge.
  • Haroun Ahmed, 30, of Mill Lane, Marston, Oxford, admitted driving while disqualified and driving without insurance in Oxford Road, Oxford, on September 22. Fined £200 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Given a nine-month driving ban.
  • Dennis King, of New Road, Shillingford, Wallingford, admitted assault by beating and causing criminal damage worth £60 to a bathroom door and worth £5 to a mobile phone in Wallingford on February 18. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and told to pay £85 costs.
  • Raymond StarkingS, 25, of no fixed address, admitted burglary at the Francisca Salon in Oxpens Road, Oxpens College, Oxford, between December 13 and December 16. Given a two-month prison sentence because of a significant amount of money taken and previous burglaries. Told to pay £50 compensation.
