A WOMAN wants to find out more information about an old photograph believed to have been taken in Witney.

Christine Tinson, from Filkins, found the black-and-white picture while clearing out her 102-year-old grandmother Ethel Gould’s home after she died in January.

She said: “She didn’t keep many pictures, which is why we thought it might be a bit special.”

Mrs Tinson believes it is a line-up of St John’s Ambulance members, with a first aid bag, which has the word “Witney” written on it. Her grandmother lived in Market Square, Witney.

She said: “We think it was taken some time in the early 1900s, because of the types of uniform they are wearing.

“We don’t know if there is any relation with the picture to her, so it would be nice to find out if anyone knows anything about it.”

Anyone with information should call Mrs Tinson on 01367 860514 or email ctinson01@btinternet.com
