MADLEY Park Residents’ Association celebrated the 10th anniversary of its first litter-pick with a record turnout for another tidy-up on Saturday.
A team of 52 residents of all ages turned out to clean the streets of the Witney estate.
The association’s chairman, David Bates, who organised the litter-pick, said: “The numbers steadily grow each year and there’s always a great community buzz.
“Lots of people love living on Madley Park, and the litter-pick is a great way of putting words into action and getting to know other residents.”
The resident filled 25 bags with litter and collected an assortment of items including a scaffolding pole, and litter blown from recycling boxes.
The association also holds a litter-pick in the autumn.
